India and Australia are again set back to fight for a Gavaskar-Border trophy.Last time India won this test series and if it wins first match this time and trophy will remain with India.This is most renound and respectable series that India and Aussies play.
The match started from 1st october.Aussies won the toss and bat first.The first day of the match was little bit tiring for Aussies as they scored only 224/5.It was not looking that this was the Australian side that attacked most of the teams in the world.But the next day was good for them as they managed to score 428 and gave India a fighting challenge.India also got good start as both opening pairs added 81 run stand, but atlast Aussies got an impotant wicket of Shewag and ended the day with 110/2.
